Replicate backups and time zones
Afternoon all.
requiring either some help or reporting a possible bug.
Setting up a backup, so create a new job, time and date are reporting correctly at the top, go through setting up the schedule (set snapshots to zero), click apply. no worries run the backup job which completes successfully, i check the reports view, select the backup job and the backup start and finish times are all set in GMT time. not in the timezone where i reside GMT +11.
the job is set to run 3 times a day, week days, 7am, 1pm, 7pm. the backup didnt run at 7am, currently 12:30pm so another 30mins until i can update this post.
Will any jobs created be using GMT time as their start times?
EDIT: 1pm rolled around and the backup did not start. will check the logs tomorrow to see if they run during the night.
Cheers

Re: Replicate backups and time zones
Time and timezone is gotten from the source nas, but make sure time and timezone are correct on all of them for log consistency.

Re: Replicate backups and time zones
Just a follow up post
The issue is now sorted.
One of the NAS' had a different time server set which was causing the reports start/finsh times to be incorrect when run manually. This time difference between NAS' was 1 of 2 issues which stopped the schedule from running as set in the job. the 2nd issue was the destination NAS needed a reboot and now backups are running as scheduled.
So if you come across this issue, please check your time servers are consistant across your NAS' and reboot the destination NAS which will resolve the scheduling side.
Cheers
