I have a ReadyNAS NVX 4x 2tb unit. recently the Powersupply failed after a power outage happened at my home. I have sorted out the power issue with a small UPS. I have purchased a new ReadyNAS 424 is it possible to use these instructions to recover my data?

The NVX uses 4.2.x firmware, so you linked in the wrong instructions. It's actually easier with 4.2.x. https://kb.netgear.com/29957/ReadyNAS-Migrating-disks-from-RAIDiator-4-2-to-ReadyNAS-OS-6-x86
Though you might want to double-check that you do have the NVX ( and not the NV+ )
