Transmission problem with OS 6

Hello

I have a strange problem when I use transmission with my ReadyNAS 104.
When I try to download a file I always receice the message "Error permission denied".
I already checked all the permission related to the folder Transmission and everything is enable
Why I receive this message?

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Do you have the latest version of Transmission App from http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9 ?
Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the Transmission App?
Have you tried using other browsers like Firefox or Safari?

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Thanks for the answer.
I tryed all what you have suggested but nothing, always the same error message.
When I start transmission the system asking me for user and password and I enter admin/admin, is it correct?
The strange thing is that it was working before then I have deleted the volume to insert a new hard disk without RAID so now I have 2 disks (one 1TB and one 3TB), after this the trasmission application did not work anymore; any suggestion?

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Have you tried using one of the Transmission Remote apps, available for Windows and Android, possibly Apple iOS too

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Did you give the new volume the same name as the old one or a different one?

I tryed with the Android app but I don't know how to set up the account.
When I try to connect I receive the message "Unauthorized connection"

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

You probably need to stop Transmission and edit the Transmission configuration file to point to the share on the new volume rather than the old deleted one.

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Do you know where I can find the configuration file and the file name to edit?

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

The settings are stored in /data/Transmission/config/settings.json

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

where 'data' (no quotes) is the volume name. Obviously if your volume name is different you need to use your volume name.

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

I have changed the 'data' with the new volume name (Video1) but I still have the same problem.
"download-dir": "/Video1/Transmission/Downloads"
"incomplete-dir": "/Video1/Transmission/Incomplete"
Do you have any other suggestion?

Re: Transmission problem with OS 6

Take a look on startup script in /etc/init.d/

I will rework it for next version
