Upgraded Mac Mini to Catalina - now unable to access Readynas NV+ RND4250
I recently upgraded by MAC Mini to OS X Catalina.
We can no longer access the NAS which is wired to the router as is the Mac.
When trying to connect in Finder get the error message:
The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your systems administrator to resolve the problem
Is there updated software for this device? Grateful for any help from the great people in this community. Can't find anything on the Netgear Support pages.

Apple has disabled SMB1 in Catalina. You can Google "Calatina SMB1" and find plenty of explanations on how to re-enable it.
There is no updated OS for the legacy devices that supports SMB2 or 3, and there is not expected to be one. Nothing is available for that old a Linux distro.

I'm not Mac user, but I think you could switch to NFS. That wouln't work for Time Machine, but would let you access shares.
Longer term, you'd need to replace the NAS (perhaps using the NV+ for backup).
