What do the Replicate Error Codes mean?
Hi,
I just noticed today that the Replicate Service for my work's backup has failed for the last few days.
The first one that failed had the following info
All the following ones were the same as this.
My first question would be, what do the error codes mean, as I can't find any information that lists what any of the error codes mean with a Replicate Backup.
Also, how do I fix the issue? I've manually tried running the backup session (and it's attempting it right now) and it currently seems to be working.
I also thought it might be useful to have a list of what the Error Codes actually represent (even if they mean contact support), so you have some idea of what to do.
Thanks,

Hi Griffmiester
Sorry I can't help. Testing and getting the same Connect error code: -51 and no clue. Did you find a solution yourself

Did you find a solution yourself as I see nobody replied?
Are you satisified with Replicate? It looks so nice on paper but appears to be more complex than it looks, right?

No, I've never had any resolution about what the error codes mean.
However, the Support that I've received using https://remote.readynas.com/emailer.jsp has been excellent

Re: What do the Replicate Error Codes mean?
Not sure what the error codes mean, but I had to go through support to get the problem corrected with the -51 error. In my case they got in and verified ALL of my units (Source and Target) were on the same Radiator version. Then we made sure that I had the same version of the replicate software on them and also uninstalled the ReadyNAS Remote addon and reinstalled it.
After all of that they also did a restart of the p2p service. (Manage ReadyNas Replicate-->Advanced Settings-->Restart p2p). We did this on BOTH units and then we kicked off the same job again and it appeared to work.
If you have speed issues on the first initial sync (I am doing ours on the LAN before we send the Target off-site). You can disable compression by unchecking it on the backup configuration. That will make the initial sync MUCH faster. Be careful though, because it can kill your bandwidth if you leave it that way after you start the off-site replication (unless you have a big enough pipe).
Just what I have learned so far. I have had to restart the p2p service a few times because it started to fail now. I am not sure if it hangs or what, but give this a try and see if it helps. Worked for me.
