Re: how to configure iStat on OS6?
For example, if you have an iPhone, you can purchase a client from Bjango:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/istat-2 ... 29458?mt=8
Alternatively, if you have an Android phone, you can leverage my application, NAS Utils:

doylmi wrote: Hi Scott - iStat requires a separate client application. There is no "URL", as it does not have a web interface.

FIVE Bucks?! Is there anything cheaper you could recommend?
(Sorry for hijacking thread slightly)

No problem, please use the following steps:
[list=a:3hvn35tz]
I'll make sure this is clearer in the next iteration. Will probably prompt for the passcode iStat is detected, but the passcode is missing.

No problem, please use the following steps:
[list=a:3c0klogw]Go to the main screen (the one that lists your NAS device(s)). Press and hold your finger on the one you want to update the passcode for. Click "Edit" when the context menu pops up Scroll to the bottom, and update the passcode Press save
I'll make sure this is clearer in the next iteration. Will probably prompt for the passcode iStat is detected, but the passcode is missing.
So, I see how to enter my passcode, but my question was really what is my passcode??? I do not know how to establish or otherwise determine what my passcode is...

Also, when I installed iStat on my NAS, I got a share (that appears to be empty) than is snapshotting ever hour.

Re: how to configure iStat on OS6?
I will describe my case I had on RNDP4000 with OS6:
The stat daemon did not started, so I tried to run it manualy:
root@nas:/apps/istat/bin# ./istatd
and I saw the message:
"Could not read configuration from /usr/local/etc/istat.conf: No such file or directory
root@nas:/apps/istat/bin# more istatd"
So I copied istat.conf:
root@nas:/apps/istat/bin# cp -p /etc/istat.conf /usr/local/etc/
Since this time there was not problem tu run the stat daemon from UI using ON/OFF switch, but still the main RUN button is inactive.
Iteresting that:
"root@nas:/apps/istat/bin# ps -ef|grep istat
admin 18717 1 0 18:45 ? 00:00:00 /apps/istat/bin/istatd -d -c /etc/istat.conf"
I mean "/etc/istat.conf" is as a parameter and "/usr/local/etc/istat.conf" is used in reality? Is the second path hardcoded?
