ReadyData 5200 with Expansion is populated with 24 x 3TB Drives in RAID5+0 x4
This gives 48TB of storage of which only 44TB is used. So the problem is not the storage used for backup. The storage is connected via iSCSI
NAS is reporting Less than 5% of volume media's capacity is free
There is 6.1TB in cache and 581GB Free
Using SSH to connect to the NAS it shows there only seems to be one file which is excessive in size and the file is
/var/cores/core-leafp2p – this is 3.1GB in size
It is dated Nov 2015.
It is possible to use cat command to read the file (piped through more).
It doesn’t seem to have any essential data but does refer to

Is it safe to delete this file?
How can I stop it growing?

It's a core dump, so I think you could simply delete it. Perhaps copy it to the data volume first.
Are you using Replicate or some other service that uses the Netgear VPN?
