NETGEAR ReadyNAS RN31200 "Kernel Panic" UNPACKING FAILED
Hi, My Ready NAS 312 fails to run. It seems to boot up but then just sits there with the fan going but nothing else.
I have connected the HDMI port to my TV and is shows:
Loading initrd.gz..... ready
..........2. 778165] Initramfs unpacking failed: LZMA data is currupt
..........2. 810719] gpio_it87: Uknown chip found,Chip 8721 Revision 4
then a lot of code ending with:
..........5. 332993] ---[ end Kernal panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root...... (something the TV screen was out of range)
n unknown-block(2.0).
Then it just locks up and unable to run boot menu with reset button in the back of the NAS drive... no other lights at the front on except the blue power light... (and the fan running).
can you help?
Thanks..

I am suspecting that you need to do a USB recovery.
Are you seeing the same symptoms when you boot the system up w/o disks?
