RN422 - OUT_OF_MEMORY+2F9

Network Topology

NAS (NFS) --1G Switch -- ESXI 6.x

I've one rn422 which is running on fw 6.9.0, the main purpose is only for testing purpose and it is  stand-by for  data backup in-case the primary backup datastore down.

I have another RN312 which is doing the same job, it is running on 6.8.1 and no problem so far.

My problem is that after power on only serveral hours without doing any backup  on my RN422, the screen will shows out_of_memory+2F9

refer to the systemd-journal.log, it shows Out of memory and trying to kill the process,  anyone encountered this issue?

captured from the logs file.

Re: RN422 - OUT_OF_MEMORY+2F9

Something is likely wrong.  Have you looked at disk health?  How full is the volume?

Though it looks like there are enabled services that you can turn off.   ReadyDLNA shows up in the log, and can certainly be turned off.

One option is to turn off all non-essential services and then attempt to balance and defrag. Anoter is to do a factory reset and start over.

Re: RN422 - OUT_OF_MEMORY+2F9

HI Stephen

thank for your reply.

it just purchased, both HDD are health, all "0" on smart_history.log,

Around 10% Free.

I will downgrade back to 6.8.1 and factory default to the RN412 and try again.

I will turn off the unused services

wanna to see the logs?
