ReadyNAS 4220 volume inactive

Good Afternoon

 

My Nas has been running fine now for just over 4 years but last week the backup server couldn't connect to the Nas neither could I from the web Browser so I powered down and back on since then the logs say degraded into inactive.  I think this is due to lack of space. Is there any way of getting the volume back to active so I can free up some space.

Model: ReadyNASRN12T1230v2|ReadyNAS 4200v2 36TB (12 X 3TB Enterprise)

The safest thing to do now is to contact paid support (my.netgear.com).
