ReadyNas NV+ V2 cant access Frontview - ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
Hi,
Recently had an issue which stopped me accessing Frontview on my old ReadyNas server.
Have tried resetting the NAS to Factory defaults, connecting with RAIDar and configuring as XRAID
Everything seems to be fine but I am still having the same issue, its on my home network and gives ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH no matter if I try to connect from Mac OS or Windows.
I am able to access the Backup share via AFP on my mac and mount it but I have no way of accessing frontview to configure any settings.
At my wits end now...

Re: ReadyNas NV+ V2 cant access Frontview - ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
The issue I believe is that the SSL cert type is so old that the modern browsers, as they have updated do not like this old servers cert.
So this is a failure of Netgear to just keep the fireware updated enough to have the internal webserver's cert updated, you honestly will see a lot of home devices use unsigned certs are stuff anyway.
What I wish they would do, or would have done already, is release a version of the firmware that allows a /admin connection on regular http:// I only access the NAS from inside my network anyway, and seeing as though https is broken anyway, if they are not going to fix it, just open http.

No, it's not about the cert. It's because the old NAS only support TLS 1.0, and the new browsers are beginning to drop support for that (requiring support for TLS 1.2).
@DavidTHFC , @jdeprey : Internet Explorer still works (as does Edge in IE mode). That is expected to end later this year. With a Mac, you can install an older browser version (reconfiguring it immediately to not autoupdate). FireFox 94.0.2 definitely works. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/94.0.2/
