upgrade from OS 6.2.2 to 6.4.x on ReadyNas Pro
I updated from OS 4.x to 6.2.2. with the steps posted in the forum many months ago. Now I would like to update to the latest OS 6.4.x version. Can I simply download the update as the GUI suggests or do I need to apply a special update file or do I need to go through the whole update process again by first applying the special R4toR6 file, factory default etc?
Thanks!

Re: upgrade from OS 6.2.2 to 6.4.x on ReadyNas Pro
All you need to do is download/install as the GUI suggests.
There is an issue with the AntiVirus service with 6.4.2, so you should disable that service first.

BrianL,
Was there a specific reason why you pointed out this FAQ page to me?
Thanks!

Re: upgrade from OS 6.2.2 to 6.4.x on ReadyNas Pro
Hi cyberspirit,
There are cases and scenarios where an update was taken, but it wasn't as smooth as it should be. That's why we encourage (those who are planning to update to 6.4.x) to check the said article to know the best practice (do's and dont's) and to avoid problems on their system after the upgrade.
Kind regards,
BrianL
