Attempting to reset firmware on R6250 as recommended by NetGear

Attempting to install new firmware on R6250 as requested by NetGear and have downloaded and extracted proper .chk file. Now requested to provide "User Name and Password" when trying to log onto "routerlogin.net". I don't know what username and password is being referred to. Help?

The default username and password are admin and password, respectively.

The default username and password are admin and password, respectively.

As is explained on page 5 of the Installation Guide:
