C6300 - A1750 5G WiFi drops on multiple devices
My C6300/A1750 cable modem/router are about 1 year old.
FW version is 2.01.26 (Genie says this is the latest)
HW version is 4.0
5GHz speed is great but occasional/random dropouts on multiple devices (laptop, Chromebook, Amazon Fire, smartphone). I've selected a channel with no interference from neighbors' WiFi units (we live in single family home) and signal strength is good to devices. When the dropout occurs, the device is still connected to the WiFi router but "no internet". Manually disconnecting and reconnecting WiFi from the device resolves the issue.
This is problematic as we have real-time needs for 5GHz speed, for e.g. my son's remote learning at elementary school (synchronous video classes).
2.4GHz speed is not so good, but we do not face random dropouts from our devices.
I have read posts with similar 5GHz connection dropouts from Netgear routers.
Is there a known working firmware with the C6300/AC1750?
If so, what version and how do I install it?
If no known working FW please investigate this issue.
