N300 is 2.4ghz based. 2.4ghz is inherently slower than 5ghz and its even made worse in congested environments.
procedure to get more speed? add in an router/access point that supports 5ghz or upgrade the router to wireless AC/AX.
Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity
