If you do a little research, you'll find that bigger antennas can frequently cause more issues than they solve. They can cause distorted waveforms or make the signal to directional. Its rarely turns out well.
Instead of replacing antennas, I'd check into a better router (its an 8 year old base model, ac router), adding an extender (I'm preferential to the triband extenders, aka ex7500, ex7700, ex8000. They can be found used for cheap), or switching to a newer generation mesh system. Or even an older generation mesh system. The older RBK43 or RBK53 kits can be found for used or renewed for pretty cheap and will provide a heck of a lot more coverage than the R6220 can.
