Cascading R6400 Routers

I am trying to cascade eo R6400 to expand the network. I woukd like to connect the WAN port from the seond router to the LAN port of the primary rouer via cable. Will it et an automatice IP addres from the primary router as DHCP server? How do I disabke NAT/DHCP services in the cascade router?

Thanks

Re: Cascading R6400 Routers

Hi @smk613,

If the R6400 was configured as an AP then you will need to use the IP address assigned to it by the main router.

Re: Cascading R6400 Routers

Hi

Maybe you can help. I have internet access now. I am not sure hw it configured itself. I cannot see it on the Optimum, net networks map and I can not get to the second router - i.e. genie cannot get at it and if i try to use www.routerlogin.net it gets grabbed by optimum and I see that router.

Thanks
