DNS issues with R6220 router
Recently, we've been having trouble with DNS stopping to work on NetGear R6220 router. Power cycle of router seems to be the only way to fix. Can't find a way to reset/clear DNS cache using NetGenie. On latest firmware and have tried different DNS providers. Firmware V1.1.0.34_1.0.1 and none showing as available for update. Windows 10 computers and Android phones.
Any ideas?

What symptoms/error messages do you see?

That's six years old firmware. There have been over a dozen releases since that one.

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.
Any fancy DNS settings in the Internet Setup zone? Clever "security" software that could get in the way?
