Actual model numbers would be more helpful than ambiguous/vague
descriptions.

Generally, you can connect at most one device direvtly to a modem,
either an actual client device or a NAT router. "other devices"
suggests that you wouldn't be satisfied with one client device.

Antinode why would I give a list of all my devices that I’m using for setup in the future/ present when if you can see my topic/question is “would having a modem mean that a router becomes useless” and not in the title but I also asked whether or not I could plug in my PS4 to my modem. Again this topic has been solved and it was done without a massive list of my setup etc. Thanks for your time anyone who helped answer my question.

I was trying to determine how many routers you're using, because you
mentioned "a nighthawk router" and "the router provided by my provider".
I was worried about your modem(s), router(s), and/or modem+router(s),
not your client devices.
Cascading multiple routers can cause multiple problems, but if you
don't care, then I don't care.
