EAX20 interrupts network, especially Alexa Echo
Every time the internet goes out or needs to be reset, the Network Extender EAX20 interrupts reset of the Echo and Dots. They display the message "Netgear. New Extender Setup." It won't let me reset the Alexas until I power off the Netgear Extender.

Whenever the power goes off, there is a strict reboot routine for a network. Things have to start in the correct order.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Restart Network Extender.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
Is that how you are doing things?

yes, I do it all in that order, but the Alexas still display the same message, even when all has been restarted in order and I restart the Echos and Dots.

Have you tried troubleshooting the Alexas?
If everything else behaves itself, that could be where the problem likes.
