Help to get the most out of my Netgear Nighthawk.
My old router is beyond repair and I picked up the Netgear R7000. I've been looking for some help on setting up the router to work well with my chromecast, 2 android phones, 1 android tablet, wii u, 2 laptops, and 1 wired pc. The chromecast video quality hasn't been up to par recently and I can't figure out what settings to change that would improve it.

Re: Help to get the most out of my Netgear Nighthawk.
Well, we'd need details to help.
1. what modem/gateway do you hav?
2. what internet speeds do you pay for?
3. what actual speeds do you get?
4. how big is your home?
5. what is our home made from internally (certain materials block wifi well)?
6. are you using 2.4ghz or 5ghz?
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity
We’re members of the public helping out on our own time.

I'd start with the people who make those devices. They should know what it takes to get their stuff to play nicely with any router.
Come back with more details if you have specific problems. Or else we are shooting in the dark.
Manuals are always a good place to start for guidance.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.
Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.
You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
Just another user with a set of boilerplate macros.
My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V
