I have a Nighthawk MR60 Mesh network, which I bought from costco less than a year ago.

I got an email which stated:

Important Security Firmware Update from NETGEAR

We've Enhanced Your Product's Security. Please Update to the Latest Firmware.

Your product has the following updates available:

I call Netgear support and they were pushing me to buy tech support, which I didn't. 

They told me that the latest firmware version is V1.1.6.124. I have version V1.1.6.122. 

At http://routerlogin.net/start.htm under advanced -> router update, I only see version  V1.1.6.122, and it states "No new firmware available". 

What should I do? Do I need to update to firmware version  V1.1.6.124  ?????

Who did you call? Not, I hope, someone you found with an Internet search. That is a good way to reach scammers.

The on-board check for new firmware is unreliable. It can miss updates. It can also be a while before updates hit the automated update servers.

The best way to check is to visit the support pages for your device and to look at the library of available updates.

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and look for firmware for your device.

The release notes should also tell you how to manually update the firmware.
