try doing a hard reset again and re-do your wifi name and password again by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds with a paper clip.

By wifi name, do you mean the SSID?
Did you change the wifi password at the same time?

Just to add, the WNR2000 is a base model n300 (single band, slow wifi) device with only 10/100mbps ports.
If you're paying for half decent speeds or use it for more than basic internet, an upgrade would make a nice performance difference.
But if you're on slower dsl, then it'll be fine.
