I have 500 mbps down through my ISP but with my router connected I'm only getting up to 100. When I hook my computer up to my modem directly I get up to 500?
The R6080 router can only handle 100 Mbps from the modem. That's the limit on the Ethernet ports.
The R6080 came out in 2017 and it is shocking that Netgear allowed something that slow off the production lines, even for a basic router. Time to ditch it for something more capable.
Just about every other router can handle 1000 Mbps, and some are even fast than that.
