My old Router R6200v2 together with a Mesh Extender EX 6150v2
Can my old router R6200v2, which is WiFi 5 and AC1200, be used together a mesh extender like EX 6150 v2?
How will it affect the speed of the wifi coming from the extender? Will it cut the speed of the R6200v2 in half?

Re: My old Router R6200v2 together with a Mesh Extender EX 6150v2
yes it can be used with a mesh extender.
Both devices are an ac1200 with the same specs. so they should work well together.
the "cut speed in half". The R6200's speed won't be cut in half but single/dual band extenders have a 50% speed reduction based off the fact of how they work. they have to use the same chip that goes router====extender and then extender------devices. And can't do both at once.
