Hi, oddball question here !! - On the N900 router, it's a stand-up rounter on a nice acrylic back-mount stand. But I really need the ports on the right side due to my whole physical setup, not the left! Can the unit be removed from the stand and rotated around (in the vertical plane) and re-attached to the stand so the ports are on the right side? I know I could just turn the whole unit around, but in my setup, I'd be an eyesore that way (looking at the back of the stand all the time).

Re: N900 left/right orientation
Hi, Thanks. I realize now I'm pursing a severely outdated model. I'm somewhat tied to a wall-mount style of installation (a slim vertical orientation with wired ports specifically on the right side). But now I realize I need to bite the bullet and pursue a more flexible tabletop style installation (horizontal orientation). That's how all the souped-up wifi comes now, I've come to realize!

The R7000 (for example), has holes for a wall mount on its "bottom",
but you'd need to supply your own wall (or wall-shaped stand/bracket).
When you build the "wall" for one like that, you can aim it in any
direction you'd like, with the constraint that the antennas stick out
parallel to the Ethernet ports (et al.).
