For whatever reason, had vpn working last week and now it does not.  have tried everything i can find but am unclear what a PK1 is and if I need it.  connecting thu xfinity business modem/router with port forwarding.  really at a loss on what to do next.  Thanks!

Get this and it keeps going

Then later this

Re: OPENVPN will not connect

V1.0.4.18_10.1.49

I got it to work.

Ended up turning the VPN off

restarting router

turning VPN back on

downloading new cert information

installing new files on client

works fine at least for one computer

working on another computer today

Thanks!

Re: OPENVPN will not connect

What firmware version do you have on the device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

Re: OPENVPN will not connect

Well done. I asked about the firmware because Netgear recently released a bunch of updates that accommodate changes in support for VPN.

You have the latest version, so your R8000 should work with OpenVPN:

R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.4.18 | Answer | NETGEAR Support
