Hi,
I have a networkplan of 250mbit/s download and 100 mbit/s upload through fiber. If i connect directly to with the Ethernetcable (cat5e) not going through the router it works fine. But when I plug the cable in the router and access it through wifi I only get around 50-60 mbit/s download but almost 100mbit/s upload. So it's the download that is the issue here.
The wifi setup is over 5GHz. Chanel 44 (have tried different, does not make any different) and up to 867Mbit/s. WPA2-PSK[AES] security.
Any thoughts on what could be the issue here?

Hi, yes it did resolve my problem. The issue was that the ethernet port only allowed 100mbit. Had to buy a new with 1Gbit port!

Re: R6100 router slow wifi download fast upload
Hi @karl81,
The R6100 router only has 10/100 WAN and LAN ports which means the Internet speed can only go as high as 100Mbps. The wireless speed refers to the link rate that can be established by the wireless devices in the network.

Dexter
