R6220 can't delete allowed devices in the Access Control menu

Hello.

I am using R6220 with the firmware V1.1.0.100_1.0.1.

Even before having the newest firmware installed, I made a list of MAC addresses so that the router would only allow the connections from the recognised devices. Although unware of from which version of the firmware this malfunction appeared, now I find that the list of MAC addresses isn't displayed correctly. Also, I can't delete the allowed devices. After selecting one or more item(s) in the list and then press deleting, nothing changes.

In the list at the moment, the names of devices display a lot of "&nbsp"s and the MAC addresses are indicated as ">" and "pan>". Moreover, when trying editing a "Device Name" in the list, I end up with the set-up page showing an error message "403 Forbidden", so nothing in the list changes.

Could you help me on this topic, please?

Kind regards,

Re: R6220 can't delete allowed devices in the Access Control menu

I am having the same problem with the R6230, which I think is almost identical to the R6220.

MAC addresses for devices that are not currently connected look like this:

pan>

Sample of a screwed-up device name looks like this:

Roku Ultra (should just be Roku Ultra)

If I try to edit one of these odd entries, or delete it, I get a "403 forbidden" error.

Also, with the last FW update, all entries in the allowed devices table went from the default font to 'Courier'.

Here's what the messed up device table looks like:

EDIT: I guess I can't post images yet. 😞

I did a factory reset and started with an empty device table.  The problems still seems to be there.

You cannot edit devices that are not currently attached to the network.

This is a bug and Netgear needs to fix it.

Hi

I upgraded to V1.1.0.106_1.0.1 and the problem went away.

Thanks.
