RAX120 Keeps Dropping offline - Cannot connect via wired nor wireless. Need to reboot to use
My Nighthawk AX12 RAX 120 continues to drop offline. When it does so, no longer responds to 192.168.1.1 via wired nor wireless.
Only solution is to do a power off (pull plug) and power back on (reinsert plug).
Firmware V1.2.1.22: Checking firmware indicated that it is the most recent.
ISP: Frontier Fiber 500/500 with Ethernet connection between Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and Nighthawk Router.
The ISP IP Address lease is fo 30 minutes. At some point in the past, with other routers and slower service it was up to 72 hours.
Even if the external IP address was not valid, direct addressing the router at 192.168.1.1 from a device with a static IP on teh internal netwoek should connect.
Frequency of Failure: Dropping offline varies in frequency from several times per day (1-3) to once every 2-4 days.
This is a high end, expensive router and it is clearly not performring to my expectations of a Netgear product.
Devices attached to network are used for business, school/remote learning, and entertainment so these frequent restarts are quite a nuisance and impact business and school activities.
Not sure if this is related but we are seeing increased buffering on streaming services in spite of upgrading from 75/75 to 500/500 fiber optic service. Not sure if this and the disconnects are related to a failing produt or not.
