Restoring backup from readyshare backup

My netgear nighthawk router was destroyed in a house fire, however I was able to retrieve the backup HD. How do I restore without the router availabl? OS- Windows 10

This was a disk connected to the USB ports?
Likely it is formatted NTFS - did you try just plugging it into the PC?

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes it is a 1TB drive that was attached to
the Router. I did plug it into the PC and the files are all there, but the
Netgear (readyshare) backup, according to the tech that called me, can only
be restored if it is attached to the Router, (which of course was destroyed
in the fire), I find that hard to believe, but I have tried a couple of
other backup programs and they do not recognize it as a backup. I will be
purchasing a new Nighthawk eventually but not in the near future.
