Re: Router Problem with WIFI
You have the R6400?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
What firmware is running on it?
Is this a new setup?
Or what changed to cause this?

Re: Router Problem with WIFI
You have the R6400? Yes
What modem/gateway is it connected to? Twin Communications
What firmware is running on it? V1.0.4.106
Is this a new setup? No, but I had to reset the router because of a storm.
Or what changed to cause this? If I need to cconnect a new TV or cell phone, I have to reboot the router before it will work on that device.
On my main TV, it says "Connected, no Internet".

Re: Router Problem with WIFI
Yes, I know. They have an antenna on a tall pole on my house. It has a cat five cable coming into a small box that looks like a power supply for a laptop. From tere another cat 5 cable goes to the input of the R6400. There is no lable on their box.

Re: Router Problem with WIFI
Seems like we're running into a lot more issues lately with users of broadcast internet.
Not sure if its because of more companies using it or what.
If you connect a simple unmanaged switch to their box, are you able to connect mulitple devices ?

Re: Router Problem with WIFI
I did a factory reset and setup the router. Now all works except some iPhones and one laptop. Any ideas? I bought a R6850 AC2000 today and if we can't get the R6400 AC1750 working properly, we will replace it with the new one.

Re: Router Problem with WIFI
Does it work if you put the netgear in access point mode?
If it doesn't, factory reset will get you back to stock settings.
Just checking to see if your ISP has any NAT running on their setup.

That suggests very strongly that the problems are with the iPhones and one laptop. Wifi is a two-way process. Both parts have to cooperate.
Tried telling them to forget the wifi connection and creating it again from scratch?
