Last night my R6700v3 router stopped working correctly - only had power button and internet lights flashing white. Tried several reboots with no change. Finally tried a factory reset and worked for a few minutes; then updated to the V1.0.4.120 firmware. Then it seemed to be working but email would not connect and browsers had all kind of security warnings and would not connect. I had another Netgear router and it connected just fine. How do I fix my R6700?
OS is W10

Did that (but had to disable Webshield on my AV) and finally got into my router. Rolled back the firmware to 106 and everything seems to be working now. Thanks for the help. Any word on when Netgear will get a firmware update that doesn't cause these issues?

Re: Router stopped working correctly
try installing 1.0.4.106 firmware to it.
Then do a factory reset and during the reinstall, disable auto-updates.
the .118 and .120 had some dns issues people ran into.

Re: Router stopped working correctly
Thanks for the advice, but I can't login to my router to backdate the firmware - routerlogin.net not working.

Re: Router stopped working correctly
Try using its IP address and not the routerlogin address.

Re: Router stopped working correctly
I haven't seen any updates from netgear at ll on it even though this issue has been across multiple product lines
