My connection keeps dropping. Followed all directions, starting over at least 4 times. Have Microsoft edge. And trying to set up nighthawk ax6 ax4300 6-stream WiFi router. There is no QR code for me to scan either so having to try the install manually.
None of that is a model number. Look for "Model" on the product label. Firmware version? Connected to what?

Your "connection" between what and what? Computer and router? Router and modem? Modem and ISP? Other? Wired or wireless? Any useful information at all might be helpful.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for a topic like "Use a web browser to access the router". Also the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".

Why?
None of that is a useful problem description. It does not say what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.
