Use a Netgear router as an extender over an Xfinity?
My back door security camera has intermittent connectivity. Im an Xfinity customer and want to use an older Netgear router as an extender, (if possible). Is this possible and could someone direct me to how to configure the setup?
Thanks!

Extender (with a wifi connection to the router) or access point (wired to the router?
Manuals are always a good place to start.

I see no suggestion that the R6230 can work as an extender.
Might help if you said a bit more about your current network. How does the intermittent connectivity show up? What is your router?
