Wan light is red.

I bridged Zoom 5350 and plugged in Netgear already programmed and with the right mac. connected, but the wan light on the router has turned red and does not change to any green! What to do ? Thank ...

    First try starting things in the right order.


    Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug modem.
    • Turn off router and computers.
    • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
    • Turn on computers and rest of network.

    I assume that you confirmed that the modem can connect to the Internet before you brought the router into the picture.

     

    Routers cannot do magic. They can't mend a broken Internet connection.
