I have had a r6300v2 fo quite a while and have not had any problems with it. However recently with no noticable reason the 5ghz network started running very slow. My i have 60mbps download speeds from my isp but on the 5ghz band I only get around 15mbps. In the past I have been able to achieve the full 60mbps on 5ghz. The 2.4 ghz seems to be just fine. I also checked to make sure other devices weren't the problem, and my network was the only one on channel 161. I am using firmware version V1.0.4.6_10.0.76
Thanks @DexterJB. I tried all of those things with no different results. Interestingly enough after factory reseting my router for the first few seconds of the speed test I got the speeds I wanted, but it quickly went down.
@DexterJB About and hour after the factory reset, I noticed that my speeds seemed pretty good and ran a test again. After changing to an open chanel (but one I had previously tested on) I got the speeds I was looking for.
