I have TWO R6400v2 routers. Can I skip the tedious task of copying each and every setup parameter by just restoring the correct and tested backup from one router to the next?

If they're the exact same versions and models, yes. If they're different, then I wouldn't.
Also, if you're having issues, I wouldn't either as problems in settings can be carried over through backups.
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/100mbps upload from Xfinity

Re: restore on R6400V2
YOU ARE CORRECT! Thanks. Saved me hours of work. Only thing I forgot to do is upgrade firmware....it also has to be the same. 🙂
