Spectrum has speeds of 200 mgb I only getting 70 I bypassed the router and got 225 hooked the router back up and it went back to 70

replaced cat5 cables with cat6 cables problem solved getting 230 mbs

1. what router do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway do you have from spectrum?
4. how are you testing speeds? Wired? Wireless? What device? What site/app?
details are key.

You put what model it is, the firmware you're on, and a brand of modem.
What actual surfboard is it?
What have you done to try to fix the issue?
did you try factory resetting the router and reinstalling it since your service was upgraded?
Are you testing wired? wireless? what site? What device?

modem is sb6141 I tested it wired with spectrum speed test.

Try the factory reset in case an old setting (like qos) is causing a slowdown.
Make sure to leave anything that does traffic inspection disabled during the reinstall. (like qos, access control, traffic monitoring, or parental controls)
