Does the GS748T supports SFP+ 10GB modules?

Does switch GS748T supports SFP+ 10GB modules?

We found some info, but we want to make sure before we buy anything.

• Fits into SFP+ interfaces of M4200, M4300, M5300, M6100, M7100 and M7300 Managed Switches
• Fits into SFP+ interfaces of select Smart Managed Pro and Smart Managed Plus Switches

No, SFP+ modules won't work because the GS748T has SFP ports, not SFP+ ports. As such, the GS748T can only connect 1G SFP modules, not 10G SFP+ modules.

GS748T is very vague - there exist many different variants and versions. However, to my knowledge, all the standlone GS748T(v1..v5 or -100xxx ... -500xxx) come with SFP Gigabit ports only, eg. based on the GS716Tv3, GS724Tv4 and GS748Tv5 Data Sheet .

If you are in the market for a similar switch to the GS748T models, have an eye on the GC752X for example - two dedicated SFP+, two dedicated SFP. While it's very aggressively priced, be aware the warranty terms (5 years only when I have it right) are different from the Smart Managed Pro models.

I'm new to the Netgear switches models and series 🙂  . We are looking for something simular to 48x 1GB and SFP / SFP+ for uplink.

Apart from GS752X can you suggest other models which can meet our needs? Presumably i have to look in higher ranges such as the M4200 and M4300 series?
