We sell Nergear products and my customers can buy the GS728TP on Amazon for $286 and MAP is $399.99. This is not the only Netgear switch with this same issue.
Do you know if Netgear has abandoned their MAP policy?
Do you have contact info on the Netgear MAP policy enforcenment team?
Your help will be appreciated. I like selling Netgear, but these online prices will not let me make any money on sales. Have a Great Day, George
Many aspects can play here, e.g. the fact that there are two hardware versions the GS728TP(-100NAS) an dthe GS728TP[-v2](-200NAS). Very non-transparent what is offered by Amazon (in many cases sold on behalf of Netgear).
As a reseller or system integrator, you are signed-up for the Netgear Powershift program - there you should have a personal or associated team contact for such questions. Worth noting, there was a discount program run for many switches (including the GS728TPv2), here in Europe it finished end of June 2019.
Perfectly understand your concerns, I'm fully with you - this online price dumping along with special discount agreements many SMB and bigger business customers have with the official distribution channels is a show stopper for offering hardware with projects.
