GS728TX vs GS728TXS

Can anyone help me figuring out what the differences between GS728TX and GS728TXS are?

They are from two difference series but from their model numbers the seem very alike.

The price is almost the same.

What I can't see is if there are different features and so on.

Thanks!

Re: GS728TX vs GS728TXS

Hi @alogat

GS728TX is latest generation, part of S3300 stackable series. This switch can stack with any other S3300 switch.

GS728TXS is previous generation, and EOL by now. It used to stack with itself and with GS752TXS.

Regards,

Re: GS728TX vs GS728TXS

The main difference between the GS728TX and GS728TXS

GS728TX has 2x 10GBase-T Ethernet Ports and 2x SFP+ Fiber ports https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Stackable-10GBASE-T-Lifetime-Protection/dp/B00OZCFVVC

GS728TXS has 4x SFP+ Fiber Ports. https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-ProSAFE-24-port-Stackable-GS728TXS/dp/B00BWBBTMY

Hope this helps!

Re: GS728TX vs GS728TXS

Thanks for the reply - I noticed the visual difference as well.

Do you know if there are any software and feature differences ?

It seems that the GS728TX is availble on Amazon 1½ later than the GS728TXS - I was wondering if there are hardware differences.
