Seeing low system uptime. Also seeing logs of that LAN port outage on our sonicwall interface.
System Up Time 0 days 3 hours 46 mins 0 secs.
Office is constantly losing LAN connection. Swithc isnt plugged into a UPS but nothing else on that surge protector is losing power, seems like its just that LAN switch.

What happens if there is a power flicker while im upgrading the firmware? Just to check on next steps are you able to send out a new switch if this doesnt work? What would that process look like, just want to have answers if they come up from an answering to manager perspective, thanks!
In the process of upgrading the firmware then suddenly a power interruption occurred, most probably the switch will get bricked. To make sure that the switch really got bricked, a hardware checked must be done. Then if ever the switch is proven faulty, NETGEAR will provide a replacement provided that your switch still has hardware warranty.
OK upgraded the firmware, but it seems as if the switch is still shutting down atleast once a day. How do I go about getting a replacement sent out?
Thanks for the update. Since the GS748Tv4 switch still shuts down on its own once a day, it is possible that it is a hardware fault. I suggest you to open a chat or online case with NETGEAR Support here at anytime. Kindly state what happened to your GS748Tv4 switch as well as you can include the link to this forum thread as reference. A NETGEAR Support expert will be assigned to your support ticket and will do a hardware check and if the switch is proven faulty, an online replacement will follow provided that your switch still has hardware warranty.

Re: GS748Tv4 getting constant power resets
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. What is the behavior of the LED lights of the GS748Tv4 switch?
b. What are the devices connected to the GS748Tv4 switch and how is everything connected? It would be best that you post a detailed image of your existing network setup.
c. What is the current firmware version of the GS748Tv4 switch? If the firmware is not yet the latest version, I suggest you to upgrade it. The latest firmware version is v5.4.2.30 and you can download it here. Check if the same problem occurs after upgrading the firmware.

Re: GS748Tv4 getting constant power resets
A. about half and half, blinking green, blinking amber
B. Power from a basic UPS, one port coming in from the sonicwall, which has two WAN connections. Rest going to client workstations.
C. Firmware version is 5.4.1.11, will try updating this after hours. Is 5.4.1.11-->5.4.2.30 an OK upgrade path? Thanks
Cant really post a detailed image of network setup
Tried swapping the power cable out and moving it to a UPS, but it still seems to be losing power.

You may upgrade the firmware directly from v5.4.1.11 to v5.4.2.30. Then, check if the same problem will occur.
Also, you may want to perform a factory reset on the GS748Tv4 after upgrading the firmware to the latest firmware version then reconfigure everything from scratch in order to start clean using the latest firmware version. Then, check if the same problem will occur.
