I have a R8500 router connected to a GS108Tv2 with LACP link aggregation. That works fine.
I also am attempting to connect my GS108Tv2 to a GS116Ev2 with static link aggregation, this works for about 5 minutes until the GS116Ev2 locks up, and both aggregated ports flash continuously.
If I look at the GS108Tv2 port status while the link aggregate is active, I see it alternate between G7 and G8 (the two ports that are part of the aggregate) being up in the link, but never simultaneously up. During this time, computers connected to the GS116Ev2 can connect to the rest of the network.
After a short period of time, the GS116Ev2 will light up LEDS for both G7 and G8 and all connectivity is lost, until I unplug either cable then the switch works again. The cable remaining plugged in will then be in 100mbps mode instead of 1gbps.
I have the static LAG set up on both ends with the correct port members, but I am a networking novice so I think it's possible I'm missing something basic. Is there something I have set up incorrectly or are these two devices just not compatible?

The problem appears to have been caused by a bad ethernet cable on one of the ports.

Re: Link Aggregation GS116Ev2 and GS108Tv2
HI rlatimer4,
The configuration that you described below seems correct however seems that instead a LAG a loop it's detected in your network.
Do you mind to share with us the config screenshoots of the GS108T and GS116Ev3 on the link Aggregation.
Moreover please check that you enable the LAG interface too.

Re: Link Aggregation GS116Ev2 and GS108Tv2
Hi Xavier,
I do have admin mode enabled on both ends. Currently only one cable is plugged in. Here are the screen shots for the GS116Ev2, and below that the GS108Tv2. I did enable loop detection on the GS116Ev2, could that be causing the problem?
