Replaced my GS108 with a JGS524Ev2 24-port switch. Everything is working with just plug-and-play.
I've installed the ProSafe Utility on two different Windows 10 machines. On both I can see the switch
and the switch will be highlighted, but the radio button not selected.
I receive an error about the switch and manager IP not being on the same subnet. Everything was booted
fresh from modem, to router and then to switch. DHCP is assigned to my Eero router, not the switch.
I'm somewhat of a novice to networking, but fairly decent about following instructions. I've read of other
people having similar problems, but no good solutions.

Hi awraynor,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Try the steps below:
a. Try to disconnect the JGS524Ev2 switch from the existing network.
b. Connect a PC/laptop directly to any LAN port of the JGS524Ev2 switch.
c. Set a static IP address of 192.168.0.x (x can be any number) on the PC/laptop.
Note: The default IP address of the JGS524Ev2 is 192.168.0.239.
d. Open the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility and try to access the JGS524Ev2 switch.
If necessary, perform a factory reset on the JGS524Ev2 switch then repeat the steps above.

Kind of odd to have to do that, but it did work.
The included software is more problematic than I would have expected.

Re: Can't access JGS524Ev2 via ProSafe Pluis Configuration Utility
Hi awraynor,
I'm glad to know that it work. 🙂 I forgot to include this on my instructions that you should set a static IP address on the JGS524Ev2 switch that is within the range of your existing network so that it will just be detected right away when you open the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility. For example, if your network is within the 192.168.1.x range then you can set a static IP address of 192.168.1.18 to the JGS524Ev2.
Feel free to post your future concerns here in the community.
Cheers,
DaneA
