GS108TV3 Serial number already registered

When trying to access the switch via NETGEAR Switch Discovery Tool, or via HTTP I get the following error "Serial Number Already Registered" and it returns to the NETGEAR login page.

The serial number is in my NETGEAR account.

How do I get access to my switch?

GS108TV3
Firmware Version V7.0.0.16
Model: GS108Tv2|ProSafe 8 ports gigabit smart switch

The Netgear Switch Discovery Tool does exactly what is says - it does not provide any access the switch. It's always http (or https where available) by a Web browser.

This was the initial firmware for this model.

I would try to bring up the switch isolated (standalone) with just a coputer connected to it. Of course, the computer must be configured to an address the same IP subnet, the default IP address (without a DHCP server assigning a config) is 192.168.0.239/24 - so use e.g. 192.168.0.123 255.255.255.0 for the moment on a computer (nd don't let e.g. Windows test the config).

Now the switch should still be discoverable, or direct accessible from a web broser http://192.168.0.239/ - lack of Internet access, it wil offer the local login (default just password: password). Then update the firmware to a current one  from https://www.netgear.com/support/product/gs108Tv3.aspx#download
