GS108Tv2/GS110TP firmware 5.4.2.9 rewoked?

Hi,

Noticed just now that firmware 5.4.2.9 is no longer available from the support pages. Instead the old 5.0.5.10 is there again. I've been checking to see if a new firmware supporting daylight savings would appear which I've been promised from a support case.

Has 5.4.2.9 been rewoked and in that case why?

Would like to know this too.

I've seen in other threads that IE 8 had problems viewing the web interface which is a possible reason, but it'd be good to get an official comment so I know if I should consider downgrading if it's something more serious than having to use a *real* browser. ;-)

Re: GS108Tv2/GS110TP firmware 5.4.2.9 rewoked?

I raised a case with support as I found the DHCP client did not work with 5.4.2.9. Netgear support denied there was any issues with it even though I conclusively proved in my case the DHCP client was not working, and the switch was defaulting to 192.168.0.239. After a few days Netgear admitted there were issues with the firmware and they were removing it from the website.

A few days ago I received an e-mail with a link to the new 5.4.2.10 firmware. I downloaded and applied it, to find the DHCP issue still existed. After contacting Netgear again I received the following response "I believe there still some modification on this firmware. For now, let use firmware 5.0.5.10".

Firmware 5.4.2.10 is released now. No sign of daylight savings in the change log though. Smiley Sad

...and 5.4.2.10 revoked again... (thread: here)

I want daylight savings! It's really impractical to reconfigure all switches for this twice a year.
