Introducing two new NETGEAR 16-Port PoE+ Gigabit Ethernet Plus Switches GS316EP & GS316EPP with 15 PoE+ ports, SFP fiber uplinks and a total PoE budget of 180W and 231W. These switches join the 300-Series switch family – designed to be setup easily and deployed quickly in your home office or small business. Both switches are plug-and-play – and include essential network management features. These switches are perfect for advanced home office networking and small to medium-sized businesses.

Plus Switch Management

With Plus switch management there is no need to read a complicated user manual or hire an IT expert, just configure your network with the user-friendly web interface. Plus switches include basic and advanced network management features to help optimize the performance of business networks. Management is consumer- and business-friendly via the easy-to-use, responsive web GUI. Basic management features include VLANs, QoS, and IGMP Snooping. Advanced management features include advanced per port PoE control and uninterrupted PoE.

GS316EP and GS316EPP include a greater number of ports than previous models, PoE+ functionality, and simple management features like VLANs, QoS, and port trunking. Additionally, these new PoE+ switches provide advanced PoE controls for optimized energy usage. Uninterruptable PoE ensures that the PoE-Powered devices remain powered on even during a switch firmware update or reset.

Additional features of the GS316EP and GS316EPP Switches

• Fanless Switch Design: Both switches are fanless so they will silently blend into any environment.
• Non-blocking switching: 32Gbps line rate fabric for great connectivity to your devices without congestion giving you full 1Mbps connections on all ports. Includes comprehensive QOS controls to control mission-critical traffic.
• Advanced PoE controls: Power management of connected PoE devices by enabling and disabling PoE power per port, PoE prioritization, PoE power limit per port and more. These features simplify management of wireless access points, IP security cameras, LED lighting, secure access door locks, IoT devices and more. And with Uninterrupted PoE you can keep PoE devices on even during a reboot for firmware updates and configuration changes. Also includes a PoE Timer and PoE Scheduler to better utilize resources and control access.
