Random Port Down -Up
Hello ;
There are 24 smart netgear switches in my infrastructure. All switches have the same problem. The port goes up and out. We use Cat 7 SFTP cable. Normally, when it is disconnected with 1 gb, it connects with 100 m when reconnected. It is not clear when it will happen randomly against 200 users
STP Off on Switches.

Re: Random Port Down -Up
A little more information than "All switches have the same problem. The port goes up and out." would help...
All ports on all switches? Client computer facing port? Uplink port? How are the switches connected?
Any DoS config in place?
How comes a network at this scale does not have any STP or better at least RSTP enabled?

Re: Random Port Down -Up
1. Example: When a computer is operating normally, the network connection drops after a while. It comes back 5 seconds later. Sometimes it connects as 100 mb when there is 1 gb connection. When you unplug the cable and plug it in, it gets better. The same problem persists when I run it locally with the switch.
2.Backbone: M5300-28GF3
All other switches are connected by fiber cable.
Backbone> FiberCable <Sub Switch <Cat7SFTP <Computer or Ap
3. No
4. This problem has existed for a long time. We talked to Netgear via mail. I've been told to turn off stp on all switches.

Re: Random Port Down -Up
Are these 24 units all GS110TP switches?
What model is shown on the label GS110TPv1 (-100xxx), GS110TPv2 (-200xxx), GS110TPv3 (-300xxx)?
Current firmware version?
Hard to imagine there is an impact on the link or link bouncing - please provide as much information possible on the network config (VLANs, connected computer/access points).

Re: Random Port Down -Up
The link bouncing does occur on all these switch models, or only this GS110TP V1, V:5.4.2.33?

Re: Random Port Down -Up
For more completeness, what kind of network adapters on the attached systems? Or is finally only one port and system affected?
Some unlikely compatibility issue, a power supply (external or switch internal) problem.
Not sure about the current life cycle status for the GS110TP-100NAS and other markets - the v1 is a really old model/design. Europe EoL says "Switches GS110TP GS110TP-100EUS 8/4/2014" - the Limited Lifetime Warranty might still cover yours. Consider to request a replacement in follow-up of your support ticket already open.
