@gtrave: I've sent you PM. If you have troubles with VirtualBox try to use VmWare workstation player or VirtualBox 4.x

Check if VT-X/AMD-V instructions are supported by both CPU and BIOS and they are enabled in BIOS. PM me with exact error which you got.

i tried to hard reset my Stora but I can't start the recovery mode. The blue LED dont stop blinking after 15sec of reset (HDD1 LED is orange)

@jhonjey: I've sent you PM with instructions. Please check PDF file and follow instructions carefully.

I know that it does not look easy on a first look, but in reality it's easier than it looks. Make sure that you have a copy of registration details (unit name and product key), before flashing firmware, as it resets unit to factory defaults.

Don't forget to backup your registration data - next time registration server might suffer such bad fate and then game will be (almost) over.

Hey there,

I have 2 Storas here that had to be reflashed. It seems, that the recovery mode on both worked fine and on both i get the registration wizard now, but i can't complete registration, neither with the original registered name, nor with any other. Netgear support says registration wion't be possible anymore, but send me the link to this Thread to find help.

Does your solution help here too? I'd like to use these 2 Storas unless i can get a bigger/newer NAS.

Hello there !

Seems that I have the same issue with my stora : after trying to hard reset, all LEDs blink together rapidly (power LED blinking blue and HDD LEDs blinking green) but never stop.

@Gitsov do you think your solution might work ? In this case could you PM it please ? Would be of great help !
